The Writing Process: Prewriting, Drafting, Revising, Editing, Publishing (click here for more information on each step)
Writer's Workshop is an instructional approach that develops student skill in writing and increases motivation for writing. Children write on topics of their choice much of the time, with mini-lessons, time for independent writing, peer and teacher conferences, sharing sessions, and publication of writing pieces. Students learn the steps of the writing process as well as traits of "good writing."
